Second Sundays at Solamente
Always fans of house concerts, we looked around our Plaster Gallery one day and Kent Gurley looked at Sally Gurley and said we can have music here! Second Sundays at Solamente was born in 2019! Kent is a singer/songwriter at heart and hosts the music, singing a few and presenting the professional, featured musicians for each month. All money from ticket sales goes to the featured musician.
An added bonus the Plaster Gallery brings to the table is the acoustics! Natural clay and lime plaster acoustically soften a space whether it is Solamente’s or yours. Guest musicians are constantly talking about the acoustics.
Second Sundays at Solamente normally happens on the second Sunday of each month beginning at 7 P.M, doors open at 6:30 PM. Second Sundays focuses on acoustic music performances in the genres of Singer/Songwriter, Americana, Folk, New Folk and the occasional Western/Country.
We have been fortunate to attract some amazing musicians in the 6.5 years that Solamente Natural Plaster has hosted Second Sundays - that is 64 performances! My how time flies!
